Whew, that hit me where I live! Literally and figuratively. The clarity, the organizing around purpose, is so strong in your music. Míle buíochas, Ivy.

Thank you for this gift. I will be returning to listen and receive the medicine of this song over and again. I am a descendent of Irish immigrants as well. Thank you for singing in Gaelig. It is powerful, and again, a beautiful gift to hear these words in that language frequency.

Míle Buíochas, Bri! I’m so glad to hear that this song was medicine for you. It was definitely a potent experience for me to sing this song spell in Irish.🙏🏼❤️‍🩹

This was definitely spellbinding! I especially loved the braiding of the two indigenous languages which I’m sure was healing, especially as you cried out to your Irish ancestors and to the people of Mni Sóta Makoce.

The word Mni still resonates in my spirit from my activist years organizing for the Standing Rock movement that took place in North Dakota . Mni Wiconi, Dakota/Lakota meaning, Water is Life , was the central battle cry and anthem of that Indigenous-led movement in 2016.

Thank for tapping into all these interlaced roots and bringing us along for the journey. This liberation spell was raw and powerful ❤️‍🩹

Thank you for sitting so deeply with this song, dear Mari, and for taking it in with all your heart. And yes, it felt important and healing on an ancestral level (individually and collectively) to weave these two Indigenous languages together. I love that connection with your time at Standing Rock, too, and the recognition of the Dakota / Lakota word, Mni. Whew….so much to say with all of the interconnections firing in my brain and heart with what you shared. For another time! ;)
